Our mission is to foster a love of Mother Earth in your children, through creative animal & nature-based gatherings, lesson plans and prompts
As moms of young children, we founded Gaia Kids Club in 2024 not only to encourage our kids and our friends’ kids to appreciate Mother Nature (aka “Gaia”) in a new way, starting with the animals as our guides, but also to get us all outside more in the process. Fewer screens, more green!
We were inspired by the splendor of the animals, flora and fauna in our awe-inspiring coastal environment in Indian Rocks Beach, FL. But after Hurricane Helene destroyed many of our homes in late September 2024, a blessing emerged: we found ourselves forced to slow down and connect more deeply with our community and nature, which became the foundation of our rebuilding.
The animals in particular came strongly into our awareness— bat, turtle, lizard, parrot, dolphin, flamingo, and a host of guides all became our beloved teachers that we refer to as the “Animal Council” — by noticing our environment in a new way we came to understand that they were sharing life lessons with us. We lost possessions, but incredibly we found an enlivening, joyous and intimate relationship to the animals and the natural world in general. The living web of life came alive all around us and within us.
We realized that we were tapping into an ancient relationship that our ancestors had before modern times separated us from the seasonal cycles and the animated living world around us. We hope to reclaim and remember this sacred relationship between all living things. We hope to raise children that value and honor this collaborative, vibrant and real relationship where our futures and the future of the Earth are intertwined.
We are here to share our learnings and our excitement as we explore the miraculous web of life with you and your children.

Our Mission
Our mission is to bring children and families together to celebrate our connection to the web of life, with the help of animals as our guides, we will become loving witnesses and caretakers of the Earth, for the greater good of all.
Our Offering
We’ve had the honor of meeting and sharing our animal and nature lessons with children and parents in our community. We plan to ripple out from here to reach many more families in the future.
For each month, we developed a lesson plan that starts with the inspiration of the animals and their unique traits and adaptations, but essentially uses the animals as a teaching tool by putting into practice the 5 Pathways to Nature Connectedness through creative exercises, play, art, music, myth and intention. The program is for both little kids and big kids, even adults! Every age is welcome to come and find a rich connection to Mother Earth!
Our Five Pathways of Connection to Nature
Contact – Being fully present in nature with all our senses.
Beauty & Awe – Noticing nature’s beauty and wonders.
Meaning – Finding personal meaning and listening for the messages and lessons nature offers so we can be more comfortable being who we are.
Emotion – Feeling inspired, comforted, and connected through a bond of friendship with nature.
Compassion & Action – Caring for and protecting the Earth we love by taking action.
When children learn these pathways, they don’t just study nature — they live in harmony with it. This is the way forward. Together with our animal guides, we are raising a generation of kids who will inherit the Earth with love, wisdom, and possibility.
